MIRROR RIDES TO GALA PLAYERS' RESCUE
12/01/2006

Gala Bingo players who are at a loose end after the sudden suspension of the leading bingo firm's online service have been given a welcome boost today.

The Daily Mirror's Mirror Bingo has stepped into the breach by offering a special £10 credit to registered Gala players who sign up for its own game, which is run by Cashcade.

Gala players have expressed their unhappiness about the sudden disappearance of their online bingo game of choice, which has been taken offline until February after the company split with St Minver, its partner.

Cashcade's Simon Collins told the Mirror: "It's like Lloyds bank saying they are introducing a new service and saying you can't have any money out of your account until next

month.

"We'd like to offer a warm welcome to all new online bingo players - especially those who used to play with Gala. And to make up for their disappointing experience with Gala we'd like to offer them a free £10 credit."

A hacked-off Gala player told the newspaper of the ongoing saga that: "It's a complete balls up, if you ask me."
