GALA OFFERS SWEET NECTAR DEAL
21/03/2007The new scheme means that Gala Bingo members will be awarded Nectar points with every visit to over 170 clubs across the UK.
Expected to launch in June, the three-year partnership is an attempt to minimise the effect of the impending smoking ban which comes in to force in England and Wales on July 1st.
Over 40 per cent of Gala Bingo's members are smokers, but it is hoped that the scheme will encourage over 1.5 million members to remain loyal.
Kate Howe, Gala Bingo Coral Group marketing director, said the partnership was in response to their members' wishes.
"We've joined forces with the biggest and best rewards scheme in the country to give them what they are asking for," she said.
According to figures from the Bingo Association, 28 per cent of its clubs will be forced to close when the smoking ban is introduced.
