The potential dropping of the wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who has become a star in her own right since the reality TV show The Osbournes, is part of an overhaul of the Gala Bingo marketing strategy.
"We have to be clear: is the idea of celebrity right? If so, is Sharon the right one? We wouldn't walk away from her lightly," said Gala Bingo marketing director Kate Howe.
Sharon began promoting Gala's online bingo offering in October, on the back of her huge popularity as one of the judges on the TV reality talent show, The X Factor.
Gala Bingo was also the sponsor of the celebrity's chat show, The Sharon Osbourne Show, which appeared on ITV but was not well received by critics.
The company's new campaign is due to launch in October, although whether this will be with or without Sharon is unclear.
