The Wrexham player - who did not want to be identified - was leaving the Mecca Bingo hall following the main game when the National Game results revealed he was the lucky winner of £10,000.
"He was very cool about it but, as you can imagine, also delighted when he realised the big amount of his share," said duty manager Nick Sillett, according to the Evening Leader.
The club's latest winner was spotted by Mr Sillet just in time, with the manager showing the man the sheet naming the winners as he was stepping out of the Mecca Bingo club.
Wrexham's latest winner labelled the bonanza a "fantastic start" to 2008 and told the newspaper that his "knees were knocking" as he reached the end of the game.
Mecca Bingo has 103 clubs across the UK, according to its website, with five million members.
