FRIENDS FIRST FOR BINGO MUM

A mum-of-two, who was persuaded to go to a game of bingo by a friend, has decided to split her winnings with her chum.

The 37-year-old, who comes from South Shore and wishes to remain anonymous, landed a massive £102,088 in prize money, according to Blackpool newspaper The Citizen.

The Blackpool shop assistant won a club bingo prize of £88, a regional bingo prize of £2,000 and then scooped a National Bingo Game jackpot of £100,000.

Now she and her sons, aged 13 and 16, will be able to enjoy a cheery Christmas thanks to her bingo bonus.

And her seasonal gesture of goodwill will allow her friend, whose idea it was to go to the Empire Club bingo evening in the first place, to have a Christmas to remember too.

The mum told the newspaper: "My sons are already spending it for me and I haven't got the cheque yet. They will have a very good Christmas though.

"I will wait until after Christmas and then decide what I will do with the rest of my half."
