GET YOUR CREW-E DOWN TO NEW MECCA BINGO
19/01/2006

A new Mecca Bingo venue that has cost £2.5 million to develop is to be opened tomorrow night and the launch promises to be a night to remember.

The bingo hall, located at the Phoenix Leisure Park in Crewe, will cause a new buzz in town, not least because of the mystery celebrity guest that is due to turn up, the Crewe Guardian reports.

Steve Wood, the general manager, said: "Mecca Bingo will offer the people of Crewe another option for a fantastic night out.

"Customers will be able to come into the club and enjoy some great value food in the cafe, drinks at the bar and of course a few games at their favourite pastime, bingo."

The new bingo hall has an impressive 828 bingo positions available and, according to Mr Wood, confirms the changing face of bingo in the UK.

"Bingo clubs today are a far cry from the stereotypical image of the old halls. The clubs are modern and bright and the game has changed too," he said.
