BENIDORM BECKONS FOR BINGO GRANNY
26/01/2006

A pensioner from Hamilton in Scotland has walked away from her local bingo hall with a £20,000 jackpot to her name.

The widowed grandmother of three, who did not wish to be named, was celebrating a financially fulfilling full house when her numbers came up at the Mecca Club, Scotland's Evening Times reports.

The 68-year-old's plentiful prize was bolstered further by the club prize of £220 and the regional prize of £670.

She normally goes to her bingo hall to play her favourite game four times a week, but she might be missing out on a few sessions soon.

She plans to use the bingo windfall to go on a well-earned holiday to Benidorm with her daughter.

She told the newspaper: "It has still not sunk in yet."
