NEW MAGAZINE TO LAUNCH IN MAY

The popularity of UK online bingo is one contributing factor that has led to the creation of a new magazine dedicated to gambling, due to be launched in May.

Future Publishing is the company behind the new, yet-to-be-named publication, which will start with a free circulation of 250,000, Media Week reports.

The magazine will be pitched exclusively at women and, according to Future's publishing director Dom Beavin, will focus on those who are computer literate, intelligent and aged between 20 and 40.

Mr Beavin said: "Female consumers are active in this market and there is certainly advertising there.

"While our existing titles don't exclude female consumers we definitely think there is space there for an all-female title."

Future already publishes Online Gambler and the forthcoming World Poker Tour and a series of other female orientated titles.

Aside from focusing on bingo, the magazine will also cover other online gambling games such as poker.
