A grandmother from Grimsby plans to buy herself a new car after winning a huge jackpot playing bingo.

Her winnings will certainly allow her to splash out on an impressive motor, as the £51,000 she pocketed will stretch a long way.

The 66-year-old was playing bingo at her local Gala club when she reached a full house in just 38 numbers to win the National Bingo Game top prize, the Grimsby Telegraph reports.

Having never won more than £1,000, despite playing once a week for the last 15 years, it is no wonder that she was bowled over by her bingo win.

The club's assistant manager, Guy Mason, said: "She was very shocked when she realised how much she had won.

"She was shaking so much when she signed the claims forms that she couldn't play on."
