GALA UNVEILS FIRST MINI WINNER
03/04/2006The 50-year-old residential care home manager had only been playing online bingo for four days and didn't even realise that she had won when her numbers came up.
Shelagh normally plays her favourite game at the Gala bingo hall in Maidstone, but thought she would give the online variety a run for its money instead.
She won't be regretting that decision now, although she will probably be keen to get out and about town in her new car to show it off.
But Shelagh won't be the only one driving a Mini soon, as Gala Bingo Online is giving one away every month.
Shelagh said: "It's so convenient to play from home. I only had £2 in the kitty so I topped it up to give myself a better chance of winning the Mini.
"All my kids rushed around the computer and we didn't know whether to jump up and down or not. It was all a bit unreal! I just can't believe it."
The new-look Gala site will also be giving away £250,000 in cash each month as well as featuring a different celebrity in the chatroom.
