WOKING WINNER BAGS £100,000
05/04/2006The lucky winner, a 50-year old Guildford lady, netted the princely sum of £101,000 at the Gala hall in Crown Square, Woking.
"I was shaking so much after they told me how much I had won, I couldn't drive home, so I had a large Bacardi," said the winner.
"I rang my husband and asked him to pick me up. He said, 'what's going on', and I said 'I have had a bit of a win!' I told him how much, and I can't repeat what he said then."
Not only did she scoop the jackpot, the lucky lady also bagged a zone prize and the club prize, but these were pennies in comparison. She notably completed a full house in just 42 numbers, the lowest call in any of the 500 Gala nationwide halls.
Maybe she should test her newfound luck in online bingo and maybe it won't be another 32 years before she hits the jackpot.
