BINGO HALL IS MECCA FOR WINNERS
09/05/2006The Mecca Bingo Club in Halesowen Road was the scene of the latest National Bingo Association Shout House, Win House promotion victory, as a 42-year-old woman from Smethwick won a villa in Valencia on Saturday night.
The Mecca Bingo hall's general manager, Mike Sime, explained: "We are certainly one of the luckiest clubs in the country at the moment. We have had four big National Game winners this year alone, who have won a total of £256,243 between them.
"And since 1996, we have had 40 National and 218 Regional winners altogether, with a pay-out of more than £3 million."
The winner of the new house couldn't believe her luck at winning a house in Spain, confessing that despite playing bingo since the age of 21, she had never won more than £2,500 and rarely even went abroad on holiday.
That will all change now though as the Halesowen Road Mecca bingo success story continues.
