18/05/2006Bringing new meaning to calling "house" when she completed her card, the 75-year-old mother of three and grandmother of six was at the Mecca Bingo Club in Dunnings Bridge Road when fortune favoured her.
"I don't do badly at bingo, but £100 is my previous biggest win," the weekend winner said.
"I never dreamed I would win anything like this. I was so shocked and excited that I didn't sleep at all on Saturday night and not much on Sunday."
The Shout House, Win House promotion has been running across 550 bingo clubs across the nation and has built up an amazing atmosphere in the bingo halls that have taken part in the games.
"When it was one of our most regular players who won, everyone was pleased for her and were all going over to congratulate her," said Mecca bingo trainee general manager, Jo Dale.
