Online bingo is becoming increasingly popular around the world as more and more young people cotton on to the fun and exciting game.
Website Online-Casinos reports how Parlay Entertainment's Andrew Branscombe, speaking at the 8th Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE), claimed "online bingo is not your grandmother's game".
Instead, women between the ages of 25 and 45 were most likely to spend time playing bingo over the internet, banishing stereotypes that bingo only appeals to older generations.
UK online bingo in particular is enjoying a burgeoning market, making up 15 per cent of the five million players worldwide that play online bingo each year, second only to the 75 per cent of the US.
Mr Branscombe highlighted the proliferation of electronic bingo devices in bingo halls, which would help bingo players convert from the traditional land form of the game to playing online.
