BEGINNERS LUCK FOR BINGO MAN
23/05/2006That proved to be the case for one man from Peterborough, after he won more than £20,000 at the Westfield Road Gala Club, according to the National Bingo Game website.
The 65-year-old had only been a regular bingo player for a matter of months when all his numbers came up whilst playing the Afternoon Delight Game.
"I have got a dickey heart, so I had to try and stay calm and not get excited," he said.
"I didn't realise at first what I had won, so it really was a shock when they told me. I don't think it has sunk in completely yet."
The win was all the more special as the man's wife, who was a devoted online bingo player, passed away 18 months ago.
