KA FOR SALE AFTER BINGO WIN
12/07/2006Ada Carter, an 85-year-old from Liversedge, was enjoying a game of bingo at a Top Ten/Walkers Club when her name was pulled out of the hat to win the car, the Huddersfield Daily Examiner reports.
Despite having a number of children and grandchildren who drive, Ada couldn't choose which one to give it to so decided to sell the car, worth £7,000, and share the cash out instead.
Ada told the newspaper: "I just couldn't believe I'd won. I sat there for a few minutes before it sank in.
"I've had a few small wins at bingo. The biggest was £1,000 about 15 years ago - but I never expected anything like this."
