GRANNY KEEPS COOL IN JACKPOT WIN
13/07/2006Normally the excitement of a big bingo win is too much for many players to bear and they need a drink to settle their nerves, but Val Phillips at the Breckland Club in Brandon was as cool as a cucumber, website EDP24 reports.
"Everyone said how calm I was after they announced I had won, but I won't get too excited until I actually see the cheque in my hand," she said.
Val has been a bingo regular for 35 years and she is looking forward to sharing the win with her husband, Albert.
She commented: "We always share whatever we win, and this time will be no different. Then, when everyone has been paid out, I can think what to do with my share."
