The 67-year-old had previously never won more than £300, but that is no longer the case after she scooped £100,000 at the Saw Close Gala Club, the Bath Chronicle reports.
It could have been even more, but for another bingo player down the road in Bristol who completed a full house on the National Bingo Game at the same time, so the pair split the £200,000 prize.
It was doubly lucky that the Bath player was at the bingo hall in the first place last Sunday as she only decided to play because her husband was away at the time.
She told the paper: "I still can't get over it, particularly as I never play Sundays. It must have been fate. My husband thought I was playing a trick on him!"
She plans to spend some of her newly acquired money on her family, which includes two children and two grandchildren.
