13/09/2006The winner, who wished to be unnamed, scooped a massive £200,000 after landing the jackpot on the National Bingo Game at the Walker's Bingo Club in the town.
"I am not rich, but comfortable, and will give half the money to my eldest daughter and the rest of my family will get the remaining money," the lucky winner told Mansfield Today.
"My daughter was more excited on the night than me. She never slept at all, but I did. I think perhaps it hasn't really sunk it yet. Everyone at the club began cheering after they announced how much I had won. I just thought I had won the £168 house prize."
But the pensioner had done much better than that, landing the jackpot after completing a full house in 39 calls, the lowest number across the 500 clubs nationwide taking part in the game.
