BINGO BANDIT TARGETS WINNER
02/10/2006The elderly lady saw her jackpot joy turn to fear just before 22:00 BST last Monday, shortly after leaving the premises of the Mansfield Leisure Park Walker's bingo hall.
A man approached the bingo player from behind and stole a white envelope, with her winnings inside, before running away.
PC Andrew Cawar appealed for help: "The car park was very busy with people leaving the bingo hall at the time. This poor woman has gone from elation to despair within minutes. It is a despicable crime and I would ask anyone who knows anything to come forward."
The man that detectives are looking for is believed to be in his mid-30s, 5ft 10ins, with short brown hair and was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
