BINGO MAN\'S GAMBLE PAYS OFF
10/10/2006

Dan Smyth, a 25-year-old from Gosforth, Newcastle, was partial to the odd game of online poker, but realised that online bingo could offer opportunities to carve out a career for himself, the Sunday Sun reports.

He told the paper: "It occurred to me that online gaming was growing and that there were several gaps in the market. I hooked up with a friend and potential investor with my ideas and that led to a meeting with the UK's leading bingo software provider three days later."

The result of this was Crown Bingo, which he says is now going from "from strength to strength", with 150 new players signing up each day.

The website's regular clientele make the most of the chat facility on the site and with plenty of cash prizes up for grabs, Dan expects his site to keep pulling in the punters.
