BINGO.COM SELLS US ONLINE ARM
12/10/2006This prospect has now moved a step closer after the organisation announced the sale of its entire US online gambling business.
The sale, which Bingo.com revealed was valued at $1.2 (£0.65) million, sees the site relinquish control over its whole database of players and the historical data relating to those players' activities.
Tarrnie Williams, chief executive of Bingo.com, commented: "In light of the new legislation, Bingo.com will be exiting the United States online gambling market completely.
"However, the company feels that with the URL, we will have success offering our games in any market where bingo is played."
Bingo.com has more than 1,650,000 registered players, with as many as 800 new bingo fans joining each day.
