REHAB BINGO REACHES €5 MILLION MILESTONE
23/10/2006One of the biggest draws of the site has been the fact that much of the money earned goes towards helping services that make up the Rehab Group.
These include boosting education, employment, health care and social services in the community.
"Bingo has always been a popular form of entertainment in this country, so we're not surprised at the success of the site," explained Dr John McGuire, Rehab Lotteries managing director.
"However its rapid rate of growth has certainly exceeded our expectations. Player participation levels doubled in the second half of 2006 and we are very confident we can double the number of players again next year."
One of the reasons for such growth was the passion that women showed for the numbers game, with 82 per cent of players being female, nearly three quarters of which were aged between 24 and 44.
