ONLINE BINGO SUPPORTS SOCIABLE PLAYERS
31/10/2006

Gaming website ATE Online reports that the study, carried out by bingo network provider St Minver, revealed that the majority of online bingo players in the UK enjoyed the 'more sociable' aspect of the game.

So even though online bingo players may not have the face-to-face contact afforded to those who play land-based bingo, the chance to meet new people and catch up for a gossip was deemed to be easier over the internet.

Of the 2,667 players who took part in the study, four in five enjoyed the ease of online bingo which allowed them to do other things at the same time, especially if they had children to look after.

ATE Online also reports, perhaps unsurprisingly, a north-south divide in the UK, with those in the north more competitive than their southern counterparts, who were happier to spend time chatting away.
