14/11/2006According to the Islington Gazette, the 37-year-old teaching assistant was playing at her local Mecca Bingo club when she completed a full house in 34 numbers.
She scooped the house prize of £153 and was then made to wait for 30 agonising minutes before discovering she had won the regional prize of £1,522 and also the massive national prize of £200,000.
"When I realised how low my call was, and I was in with a real chance, I really sweated it out during the half hour wait for the results to come through," she told the Islington Gazette.
Richard Fleming, general manager of the Essex Road Mecca, added: "Everyone was screaming and whistling as I announced she had won the in house prize and the regional prize, but after that you could hear a pin drop.
"Then I announced she'd won the big one and she went nuts. She flung her arms round me and was kissing me. She really didn't know what day it was, which is understandable."
The lucky winner, who has a partner and two daughters, said she plans to have an unforgettable Christmas this year.
