Online bingo firm\'s profits rise
15/11/2006

Parlay Entertainment has released its figures for the first nine months of 2006 and it makes good reading for the company.

The firm generated over $2 million (£1 million) from online bingo up until September 2006, signalling an increase of 68 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Much of the firm's success has been down to the opening of new networks such as Butlins bingo, Littlewoods bingo and Paddy Power bingo.

Online bingo remains the best ways of enjoying the thrill of a good game, while remaining in the comfort of your own home.

Concerns had been raised that some online bingo companies may find themselves losing money as a result of new laws on gambling which were recently passed in the US.

Scott White, president of Parlay Entertainment, says this has not been the case.

"In view of the recent signing of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act in the United States, we are pleased that our exposure to licensees who do not restrict the access of US residents to their sites has been significantly reduced in the past two years," he said.
