BINGO CALLING FINAL FAST APPROACHING
22/11/2006Now in its 12th year, the winners of six regional competitions will go head-to-head to follow in the footsteps of 2005 winner Karl Seth and be crowned the ultimate bingo caller.
Doing battle at the glitzy event on November 26th will be the north-west winner Chris McHenry, the north-east conqueror Gary Wilson, southern champion Brett Hyrjak, Scotland supremo Alan Kerr, Welsh wizard Mike Broad and the contest's only female caller, the Midlands' Barbara Miller.
Last year's winner, Karl, has spent the past 12 months representing the National Bingo Game Association, appearing on Ready Steady Cook, touring the United States and enjoying a prize holiday to Las Vegas, where he even got the chance to do a spot of bingo calling.
This year's national final will be held at the Gala Bingo in Surrey Quays, London.
