CHRISTIE COULD HAVE CALLED THE NUMBERS

And the singer has told a local newspaper how he could have been a much more regular attendee at a hall in nearby Sheffield had his career not picked up dramatically.
"When I was first starting out with my music I was so broke that a friend of mine was going to make me a manager of a bingo club in Sheffield," Christie told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I would have been the bingo caller and run the whole place."
The singer is now ready to entertain the people who will be well aware of his hit making in the 1970s and last year's return to the top of the chart with (Is This The Way To) Amarillo.
