Despite being a regular bingo player, the 75-year-old lady from Airdrie, who did not wish to be named, had never visited the new Club 3000 in Coatbridge.
But she will be glad that she did now, after winning more than £100,000, which she told the Evening Times was a "lovely big surprise".
In addition to the six-figure national sum, she also pocketed the £1,000 regional prize and a house jackpot worth £340.
According to the paper, she will now be able to share her magic moment with her three sons and three daughters and a further five granddaughters.
The widow also paid tribute to her "marvellous husband", who, she regretted, could not be there to share her happiness.
