A one-off treat last month proved so popular that prison bosses plan to run the bingo events throughout the jail on a regular basis, something that has been greeted with scorn by some wardens.
The paper quotes some wardens' discontent that the prison is resembling a "fun park" and "getting like Butlins", a situation worsened by the fact the prison has even bought a special bingo machine for the balls.
The Scottish Prison Service defended the actions of the prison by saying: "We're looking to provide a range of activities for prisoners."
