Bingo fanatics at the Carlton Bingo hall in Livingston decided that the numbers game would be the perfect way to raise some much-needed funds for charity, the West Lothian Courier reports.
Over the course of a week, bingo players helped to raise £1,446 in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Shaun Gibson, the Carlton manager, told the paper of his delight at such generosity: "Our bingo players have big hearts when it comes to charity. We are delighted with the total amount of money raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
"Our players and staff have once again outdone themselves with their fund-raising ideas. The funds raised will make a real difference to the 42,000 people affected by breast cancer each year in the UK."
