Ian Livingstone, creative director and former executive chairman of video game developer Eidos, has said that he wants people who currently play their pastimes offline to log on.
"I am always trying to broaden the profile and demographic of games," Mr Livingstone told the Independent.
"We now have the [Nintendo] Wii and interactive DVD quiz games. I want grandmothers to play bingo and bridge online. There is a game for everyone out there."
Online bingo already has plenty of fans, but Mr Livingstone appears to be targeting the elderly player who is perhaps used to going to his or her local hall when they could play online bingo from the comfort of their own home.
Last year, Bingos.co.uk was voted Bingo Operator of the Year at the eGaming awards dinner in London.
