18/01/2007Well it would appear that UK online bingo fans are taking advantage of this to the maximum after a new report revealed nearly one in three office workers partake in online gambling at their desk.
The study, carried out by consultancy firm Morse, found that 30 per cent of office workers either placed an online bet or knew someone who did.
Philip Wicks, a consultant at Morse, said: "Many employees have unmonitored access to the internet, and the fact that they can now follow most sporting events online, coupled with the rise of internet gambling websites, has tempted people to place a 'quick bet' online."
While Mr Wicks says that the chance to play games such as online bingo may be costly to the productivity of UK businesses, the employees are probably not complaining as they try and win some amazing bingo jackpot prizes!
