01/02/2007The grandmother, who has asked to remain anonymous, won the £51,000 jackpot at the Savoy in Main Street, Cambuslang, where her lucky full house won her not only the regional prize but also the National Bingo Game prize.
And she revealed that she had come close to winning the national prize only a few months earlier.
Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times, the 59-year-old said: "It was fantastic to win. I called 'house' on the National Game only a month ago but someone in another club beat me to it after calling in fewer numbers."
The mother of six mused: "I haven't yet decided what we'll spend it on, but a family holiday would be nice."
She said whatever the decision, she definitely planned to spend the money on her children and grandchildren.
The lucky gran added: "I won £2,000 at the bingo a number of years ago and was able to take a holiday to Tenerife, but this size of win was just a wonderful surprise."
