BINGO WINNER SETS SIGHTS STATESIDE
06/02/2007John Allen of Milford earned his winnings by trying his hand at the Dream Ticket Bingo Competition.
The game, which is being run by the Evening Telegraph, has a further £13,000 of remaining prize money up for grabs over the next four weeks.
Contemplating his trip across the pond, Mr Allen said: "I have family in Vermont, in north America."
"I haven't seen them for six years because the tickets cost just under £500 each", he added.
Twelve bingo games are available for readers on a card in each edition of Wednesday's Evening Telegraph, with numbers being called out in the paper each day until the following Tuesday.
'Alternative' means of playing bingo, such as online websites and scratch cards, are on the rise in the UK.
