On Tuesday, March 27th, an unnamed 65-year-old woman won the Afternoon Delight jackpot, a national game with a prize of £20,000.

Combined with the regional and club prizes, the woman received a total of £20,554 for her 44-call win.

The feat mirrored that of an 86-year-old player who also completed a full house in 44 calls at the same Gala Bingo club for a £20,547 win.

What's more, the two wins came just six days apart, with the first on Wednesday, March 21st, despite some 500 clubs competing nationwide.

The first winner said: "It was such a surprise when I realised I had won. I never thought I'd ever win that much."

Meanwhile, the latest lucky player said she intends to go on holiday "somewhere in England" as her last holiday abroad was too hot.

Gala Bingo says its latest club to open is in Boston, Lincolnshire, which launched on January 11th of this year.
