ARCTIC CRUISE FOR BINGO WINNER
16/04/2007Carol Watson, a 53-year-old country music performer, won an equal share in the national jackpot at the Cramlington Gala Bingo club last week.
Including the regional and house prizes, her total win amounted to £27,690, which she says she plans to spend on an Arctic cruise.
She said: "I couldn't believe it - I nearly leapt out of my seat when I heard the results!"
The potential £50,000 jackpot was shared equally between Ms Watson and another player from Stirling, as each completed a full house in 42 balls.
In addition to going on the cruise, the lucky player said she plans to use some of the money to pay towards her mortgage.
Ms Watson added that she has played bingo at the Gala Bingo club two to three times a week since it first opened.
Upcoming promotions at the Cramlington club include £5 buy-ins on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and a £10.50 buy-in on a Tuesday evening.
