The unnamed player told Coventry News she has been a member of the city's Gala Bingo Club in Pool Meadow, Fairfax Street for five years.

However, she added that this is her first substantial win and that she intends to spend the money on a new scooter.

The win came on Wednesday, April 11th on the national bingo Afternoon Delight game.

After completing a full house, she claimed the £20,000 national jackpot as well as a regional bonus of £400 and the house prize of £29.

UK Bingo is a family affair for the lucky winner, as the publication reported that her mother, sisters and brothers are also members of the club.

The Pool Meadow Gala Bingo Club is inviting players to compete in a playoff for its Platinum Plus promotion on Thursday, April 19th.
