The publication reports that Gala Bingo Coral is in talks with Nectar to provide its players with Nectar points as part of a £10 million scheme.
Expected to launch in June, the collaboration should mean that Gala Bingo customers are given the opportunity to exchange their points for purchases from BP and Sainsbury's.
Similarly, points earned at those retailers could be used to buy cards at the uk bingo hall, the FT adds.
From October, the gambling group is to launch an £8 million advertising campaign based around the message of "putting the fun back into bingo".
But Neil Goulden, chief executive of Gala Bingo Coral, predicted that it could take two years to achieve the greatest return on current investments.
"My personal view is that the growth profile really ratchets up in 2008-09 and the optimum time will be 2009," he told the publication.
Gala Bingo merged with Coral Eurobet in October 2005 and says it has over two million active customers, representing about five per cent of the UK's adult population.
