CHICKEN POOP BINGO KEEPING AUSTIN WEIRD
15/05/2007Librarian Red Wassenich has compiled a list of the weirdest characters and events to contribute to the city's history, with the bird-based game of chance topping the list.
In chicken poop bingo, players must wait while the feathery fowl decides which numbered square to poop on.
And Mr Wassenich states the game as his favourite event to take place in Austin.
He told the publication: "One of my really favourite things is the chicken [poop] bingo up at Ginny's Little Longhorn [Saloon] on Sunday afternoons.
"It's a really neat scene - it's one of the things I really like about Austin."
The game was previously featured in Here Magazine, which claimed that "some eternal truths can only be conjured through a honky-tonk song and the caprice of a chicken".
