06/06/2007Industry operator National Bingo reveals incredulity among jackpot winners in Ayr in recent weeks.
Not one, but two lucky punters have scooped five-figure sums in the national game.
The first prize for Boswell Park Mecca Bingo Online players was a £25,000 jackpot which only occurred due to a change of schedule.
While usually attending the hall in the afternoon, the 77-year-old woman had decided to try the evening session for a change.
Manager Gordon Shennan told the operating body: "She was very excited, as were the other ladies, at her win and none of them could quite believe it."
The fantasy continued later in the week as a 73-year-old great-grandmother won the £10,000 Afternoon Delight contest.
"When I woke up the next day I wondered if it had all been a dream!" she said.
However, the twin achievements are overshadowed by Merthyr Tydfil's Castle Club, which created two £100,000 winners during May.
