BINGO MAN CALLS A NEW TUNE
07/06/2007Ricky Denton, a caller at Wood Green's Mecca Bingo Online, has made it through to the last 200 of this year's X-Factor and will now get his chance to perform in front of the cameras and judge Simon Cowell.
"I love my job at Mecca Bingo but feel I've been waiting all my life for this opportunity to prove that I can be up there with the best, so you can bet your boots that I'll be giving it my all," Ricky told the Tottenham, Wood Green and Edmonton Journal.
The 47-year-old lists Cliff Richard and Elvis Presley as two of his musical influences, suggesting a vintage rock and roll vocal performance could be on the cards.
Mecca Bingo operates four more uk bingo halls in London, with Camden Town, Kilburn, Wandsworth and Hackney Road all hosting the fun.
