UK BINGO PLAYER PERSUADED TO WIN
13/06/2007Some £50,000 was the reward for a Forest Hill resident after her daughter convinced her to take part in the national game earlier this month.
On Wednesday, June 6th, the 40-year-old went to her local Mecca Bingo club and came away £50,000 richer.
"My daughter kept bugging me for ages to join the club," she told game operator National UK Bingo.
"I've only played a few times since I joined and my daughter had to persuade me to play on the night I won," she added.
Her family - which includes two children and two grandchildren - can expect to benefit from the earnings.
For the UK bingo winner told the operating body she intends to take her relatives on a holiday to America with some of the cash.
Jackpot wins seem to be an annual event for players at the Mecca Bingo Online club, with a £20,000 prize claimed in May 2006 and a previous £50,000 success in February 2005.
