18/06/2007A 49-year-old Hinckley man has been pinching himself since landing £81,000 in the national bingo game at the Gala Bingo club in Erdington, Birmingham.
"If this isn't a dream, there are so many things I can do now without worrying," he told game operator National Bingo.
But the bingoer is still having doubts as to whether or not the win is for real.
"Until the cheque is actually in my bank, it's just not going to sink in," he explained.
The jackpot signifies the end of a 16-year attempt to hit it big, during which the lucky punter has played once a week with his wife and friends.
Hinckley players have been lucky at home and away recently, as a resident of the town collected a £50,000 prize at the Rugby Road Flutters club in May.
