BINGO STREAK ENDS IN SIX FIGURE SUM
20/06/2007Following 20 years of competing in the national game, a member of the Coatbridge Gala Bingo club has seen a series of wins end in a six-figure jackpot.
And although the streak did not involve nudity, the winner revealed she was too self-conscious to realise she had earned the £100,000 sum.
"I was so embarrassed when I won as everybody was looking at me," she told game operator National Bingo.
"I was more aware of that than the fact I had won!"
The six-figure prize follows "a winning streak" over the past year in which the lucky bingoer claims to have received prizes on a weekly basis.
However, she is resisting the urge to become complacent and suggested that she will wait to "feel the cheque in my hand" before beginning her next streak - a £100,000 shopping spree.
National Bingo lists the jackpot as being won by Coatbridge players three times previously, in August and November of 2004 and again in April 2005.
