UK BINGO WINNER STRUCK DUMB
21/06/2007Following a £20,000 national jackpot win, a UK bingo fan was struck dumb with shock, she revealed.
The 46-year-old Bournemouth woman was playing at the Gala Bingo club on Christchurch Road when her numbers came up.
And her 18 months of playing the popular game paid off to the tune of £20,000 - her first big win, she told game operator National Bingo.
Club manager Colin Mundy explained that it took the victor some time to gain control of her senses.
"Everyone in the club was very happy for her and going up to congratulate her," he said.
However, once she regained the power of speech, there was one phone call which needed to be made.
"The first person she phoned was her husband to tell him the good news," Mr Mundy added.
Visitors to the club on Thursday, June 28th are told they can expect to play for free all day, with Gala Bingo covering the cost of all tickets except those for the national link game.
