DEAL OR NO DEAL FOR NATIONAL BINGO JACKPOT
04/07/2007A pair of players had reason to celebrate as they split the Afternoon Delight national bingo jackpot recently.
And while one of the pair lives in Deal - a seaside resort in Kent - the other resides in Warrington, some 280 miles away.
Each received an equal portion of the prize money for completing their full houses in fewer balls than anyone else in the country.
And the Deal resident told game operator National Bingo that the Afternoon Delight moniker proved to be fitting.
"It is a very friendly club and everyone was very pleased for me when they announced how much I had won," she said.
"Although I play so regularly, it still came as a shock."
About 500 clubs nationwide take part in the national bingo game, with the Afternoon Delight jackpot standing at £20,000 from Sunday to Friday and £50,000 on a Saturday.
