HEART BYPASS BINGO WINNER STAYED CALM
23/07/2007The Gala Bingo Club in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, saw one of its players share the £100,000 national jackpot with four other bingo winners nationwide recently.
But the 65-year-old had to stay calm as he has had a triple heart bypass, reports National Bingo.
"I have had a triple heart by-pass and I have a spray to use for angina," he told the game operator.
"But I managed not to get too excited and I didn't have to use it."
A total of five players across the country took equal shares in the prize after they all reached uk bingo in 45 calls.
Edinburgh players have now claimed over £1.6 million in bingo prizes, according to figures from National Bingo.
This includes a £200,000 jackpot scooped by a Mecca Bingo Online player on January 29th, 2006.
