KNEES-UP PLANNED FOR BINGO WINNER
02/08/2007

The 76-year-old winner of a recent £20,000 national uk bingo jackpot plans to treat her husband to a trip away, she told the game operator.

But it could be more a case of feet-up than knees-up, as he has just undergone surgery.

"I will use some of the money for a good holiday for me and my husband, who is recovering from a knee operation," the winner told National Bingo.

The prize rewards 15 years of membership of the Mecca Bingo club in Monmouth Walk, Cwmbran.

And the winner revealed that despite his operation, her husband plays alongside her every day.

It was previously revealed that a 68-year-old Derby bingoer makes a 160-mile round trip to Skegness each week in order to play at his favourite club.
