GATESHEAD GALA PROVES LUCKY AGAIN
14/08/2007A recent survey by game operator National Bingo identified the Gateshead Gala hall as the sixth luckiest venue in the country.
However, the placing could be set to rise as another member of the club claimed the £50,000 national prize recently.
"I was extremely calm at first when I shouted house, because I didn't believe that I would win the national [jackpot] calling in 43 numbers," she told the operating body.
"I thought that it would go in about 37 numbers or below - it was such a shock when they announced that I had."
She represents the eighth major win for the venue in the past year, National Bingo notes.
Northern players are in luck, it seems, with Newcastle ranked fifth in the survey and Glasgow named as the luckiest location of all.
